I’d like to take a tiny moment to thank each and every one of you out there for reading The Tiny Soprano. While I only have just shy of 200 subscribers, it’s not quantity that counts, it’s the quality. With almost 300 comments, I’m so proud of the intelligent and inspiring people who contribute to the community I’m trying to build here.
So, thank you very much! I hope you’ll continue to support the site, because I have so much fabulousness coming.
Can I ask you a question?
Maybe you visit The Tiny Soprano for some inspiration. Or ideas for how to be more fearless. Perhaps you even like opera (it’s been known to happen.) Or maybe you just like the way I write.
The point is, it doesn’t matter what an author thinks a blog is about. Each of you will look at my blog in a way that is unique to you.
While I have my own grand, divatastic visions for the future, it’s far more important to me to learn how you see this blog.
So tell me, what is The Tiny Soprano about to you? What is the first topic that flies into your mind when you think of this site?
Please write your thoughts in the comments below…
Your suggestions will be invaluable in helping me to point The Tiny Soprano in the right direction going forward, and I completely appreciate you taking the time.
Thank you!

What is The Tiny Soprano about? It’s about being sincere, and strong, and kind, and an ass-kicker with talent. No bullshit, no overinflated ego, nothing phony. And I thank you for it.
A thousand thank-yous, Emma. xoxo
I’m with Emma. Every bit of it.
As an aside, I can never think of an under-door draft-stopping snake thing-a-ma-jig without a sly smile.
That’s so cool.
I love the way you pull together self-help tips and musical analogies and also reminders of important things for singers to bear in mind, either emotionally or vocally – it’s been great to have all sorts of things that I knew but had forgotten crystallised and brought to the forefront of my consciousness again, especially as I’m short of time to myself with the 2 kids! And I love your positivity and energy and sense of humour!
Thanks Anna! We frantic mums must stick together! *big hugs*
Hi Natalie,
I’m not sure how I even managed to even subscribe ! I find a huge amount of synergy with your blog, your character and your love for Opera. I am constantly surprised and stoked that I get a life-coaching-stop-being-silly-and-sing-your-heart-out pick me up every time I read your blog. I am training for my first audition to the QLD Con. this year and I’m so glad to have you by my side – thanks.
How fantastic! I would especially love to hear about your preparation for the QLD Conservatorium audition. And I think I may adopt “stop being silly and sing your heart out” as my new tag line…thank you Jo!
There is real power in storytelling. At Living Savvy I am creating a place where women can come together and learn from each other through sharing their stories. So I am always on the lookout for women who are living savvy, who have achieved things important to them, ask themselves the big questions in life, think about the answers and wants to make a difference to the world in which they live. These are the stories you share Natalie.
Stories are, for me, the most powerful way of learning about ourselves and each other. I’m touched that mine resonate with you. (By the way, I believe you are my most prolific commentator. So must come up with a special something to send to you as a thank you!)
The Tiny Soprano to me is an inspiration, wisdom, joy and my kick up the butt to keep me motivated and moving towards my dreams. Thanks Nat, every week its what I need to hear and it always bring a smile to my face.
Thank you Cherie! x
Natalie, I’d love to have 200 subscribers, so I say lucky you to have 200 people so interested in what you have to say that they are willing to add to their email! (BTW, I don’t subscribe but I do keep up with you on Google Reader – I’m sure you have many more readers than you know.)
Your blog is elegant and insightful. I love your writing style, I love your heart, and I love your wisdom. The post you wrote that pops up in my mind pretty consistently is Why You are Free to Jump – it’s one of the most impactful posts I’ve read since I dove into the blogging world.
Thank you for your lovely voice out there….
Melinda
I love to read your post of inspiration and affirmation of all the good!! It is, as yet, too easy to forget on a day-to-day so when I get your emails I am reminded…THANK YOU!!!!
This is exactly why I began to write – as an affirmation of all the good! I hope it makes as much of a difference to your life as it does to mine. Thank you!
Hi Natalie,
I’m a new subscriber to your blog, but what inspired me to subscribe was your intelligent, humorous and no-nonsense yet gentle way of writing about some of life’s most difficult issues. I am learning to be more fearless in my life (in little bitty baby steps some days) and blogs like yours always leave me feeling like anything is possible. Thank you for sharing your wit and wisdom with us all! I look forward to much more fabulousness from the Tiny Soprano!
Welcome Dovelily! Thank you so much for joining me here – I know you’ll fit in perfectly.
I’ll agree with Dovelily as to what the Tiny Soprano means, she said, ‘your intelligent, humorous and no-nonsense yet gentle way of writing about some of life’s most difficult issues.’
I can’t add anything to that.
hmm…. I think that to me The Tiny Soprano is really you, Natalie – that’s why I come. You’re so real, and there’s an elegance and passion to your writing that I just love. You remind me about what’s important. And the opera is great too.
Andy
